Be a part of a new and dynamic APP Consult role with our Interventional Radiology Team at Emory University Hospital Midtown.

Emory Healthcare is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Interventional Radiology APP service line that will treat patients at Emory University Hospital and the new Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown.

In this role, the ideal Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will have 2 to 3 years experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Prior experience in Interverntional Radiology is highly desired for this role. This will be a hybrid role and will include inpatient consults, rounding, patient education and one day of clinic consults and outpatient management. Some procedural work such as line removals and simple bedside procedures may be required as needed.

Position will be 4-10's and there are no call, overnight or weekend requirements.

We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for a hybrid consult role with our Interventional Radiology team at Emory University Hospital Midtown and the new Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown.

Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
  • Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.
  • Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.
  • Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
  • Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
  • May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
  • BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
