The Role:
Kapsch TrafficCom is looking for a Director/Vice President of Sales, for our Tolling Mid-Atlantic/Northeast operations. The location of the selected candidate will not be a concern but the proximity to travel hubs will be. As the Director/Vice President, you will be driving the mobility solutions and the future of transportation: a future where cars talk to each other, aiding in the flow of traffic and the safety of the transportation network.
The Director/Vice President of Sales, will assess the market and determine areas of focus based on established and emerging markets. This role will represent Kapschs solutions portfolio, with a focus on leveraging, developing and capturing both tactical and strategic opportunities.
Responsibilities :
Support the formulation of customer and partner strategies and business models
Build a sales pipeline and achieve specific sales targets.
Ensure market awareness to other Kapsch sales, technical and product management teams.
Support the evaluation of opportunities/technologies to determine investment and/or partnership strategies
Monitor trusted news outlets and other credible sources to identify and report on existing and emerging trends and opportunities
Travel is required and is expected to be up to 50%

What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years' experience in external sales/business development/marketing fields
Experience working with public-sector agencies
Willing and able to travel up to 50% annually
Our top Candidates will have:
Sales and business development experience, specifically in the Tolling, ITS, or Transportation industry
Services-related product and solution experience
Expert capabilities with MS PowerPoint, Social Media, and CRM applications and platforms
Strong analytical skills; experience with product launch and go-to-market strategies, business model development, voice of customer techniques, etc.
Ability to think in concepts (strategic) and outside the box (creative)
Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, willing to perform tasks outside the official job descriptions
